1. Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your name, mobile/WhatsApp number, email address and account-security information; matrimonial profile information such as age or date of birth, gender, marital status, location, education, profession, family details and partner preferences; proposal and visitor-reply activity; payment references and uploaded payment receipts; verification documents where required; support communications; and technical/security logs needed to operate and protect the service.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, verify mobile numbers, publish and review matrimonial profiles, provide membership access, generate matching suggestions, enable proposals and replies, process payment activation, perform identity or profession review where applicable, prevent abuse, provide customer support and send necessary service communications.

3. Public profile visibility

Only information intended for an approved matrimonial profile may be shown in public or member catalogues. Mangala Nakatha is designed to use privacy-safe profile summaries. Customer photographs, verification files, payment receipts, passwords and private administrative records are not intended for public display.

4. Contact-number visibility

Contact numbers are protected from public visitors. Eligible paid members may see contact details only where their package and catalogue access permit it. VIP Regular members are restricted to VIP Regular and VIP Premium proposals and do not receive Normal-customer contact details. Contact details may also become available through permitted matched suggestions or accepted proposal flows.

5. WhatsApp and communications

Mangala Nakatha may use WhatsApp and other communication channels for OTPs, registration confirmations, account notices, payment-related messages, proposal-related messages and customer support. Messages handled through WhatsApp are also subject to the applicable WhatsApp/Meta platform terms and privacy practices.

6. Payment information

When you submit payment evidence, we may store the amount, reference, payment method, receipt image or document and review status needed to activate or audit the membership. Do not upload unrelated banking information or sensitive financial credentials.

7. Verification documents

Where identity or profession verification is required, submitted documents are used for verification and administrative review. Verification material is treated as private and is not intended to be displayed as a public profile document.

8. Sharing of information

We may share information with service providers only as necessary to operate hosting, messaging, notifications, security, support and payment-verification workflows. We may also disclose information where required by law, a lawful authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or the rights and safety of others.

9. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction and security records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations and administer memberships. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of record and its purpose.

10. Your choices and requests

You may update profile information through the member area where editing is available. You may contact Mangala Nakatha to request correction, account closure or deletion of information, subject to records that must be retained for legal, payment, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

11. Security

We use administrative and technical measures intended to protect accounts and private information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so members should use a strong password, protect OTPs and avoid sharing account credentials.

12. Adult service

Mangala Nakatha is intended for adults aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly provide matrimonial membership accounts to children.

13. Policy changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, legal requirements or platform integrations change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date.
